Data shows that the market for cosmetic packaging will reach 223.5 billion yuan in 2025. Among them, plastic will still be the dominant material, while the use of paper and wood is on the rise. Recently, Transparency Market Research, a globally renowned market research firm, released data on the cosmetics packaging market. The data indicates that the global cosmetics packaging industry is expected to reach 33 billion US dollars (approximately 223.5 billion yuan) by 2025. It is understood that the global cosmetics packaging industry was valued at 23 billion US dollars (approximately 115.6 billion yuan) in 2015. Research shows that from 2014 to 2025, the industry's compound annual growth rate will remain stable at 4.4%. Among them, the increasing number of beauty consumers in emerging markets such as Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Latin America is regarded as the main driving force for the growth of the packaging industry. An engineer from a domestic brand told the reporter of Cosmetics Finance Online that, according to his knowledge, the Asia-Pacific region is the main source of revenue for the cosmetics packaging market. In 2016, the region accounted for 32.5% of the global cosmetics packaging market, and it is expected to maintain this growth rate in the coming years. Transparency Market Research states that as more and more young people gradually urbanize and gain more disposable income, this is also one of the driving forces for growth. The analysis points out: "Packaging innovation may have a greater impact on young people, and this group happens to be the main target audience for most cosmetics companies." Furthermore, research indicates that plastic is expected to remain the preferred choice for cosmetic packaging in the future; however, as the application of glass in high-end products increases, it will also occupy an "important share". Environmental protection has been a hot topic in recent years, and the use of paper and wood in packaging will also show an upward trend.
